Position Summary
Team Member Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Assist with patient medical evaluations and collect medical histories
- Safely restrain equine patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and fluids as directed
- Assist with surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Assist with anesthesia administration and monitoring
- Collect, prepare, and process laboratory samples
- Provide critical, intensive, or life-sustaining emergency care as needed
Medical Records & Client Support
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical records
- Assist veterinarians with client communication and education
- Collect and verify client contact and patient information
- Record fees for materials and services rendered
Facility, Equipment & Inventory Support
- Organize patient flow, exam rooms, and isolation areas
- Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized treatment and service areas
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam carts and doctors’ trucks
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on clinic equipment
- Conduct maintenance checks and minor equipment repairs
- Maintain supply inventory and replenish stock as needed
- Follow state and federal regulations for controlled drugs
Scheduling & Flexibility
- May work alternate shifts, holidays, weekends, on-call rotations, and occasional off-site assignments such as horse shows
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical & Technical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, lifting, bending, and restraining patients
- Proficient with standard clinic and office equipment
- Comfortable using personal computers and practice management software
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
