Accounting Manager

Location: Saginaw, MI

Saginaw Valley Equine Clinic has an opportunity for an Accounting Manager at our growing practice in Saginaw, Michigan. We are a full-service, 100% equine veterinary practice. Services include Sports Medicine, Surgery, Reproduction, and Farm Services. Inside our state-of-the-art clinic, we use the latest technology and techniques to care for clients’ horses.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing the day-to-day financial transactions of the clinic. Job responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, entry of source transactions and journal entries into the clinic’s accounting system, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation. This position will work closely with the Clinic Senior Leaders and external CPA.

Team Member Responsibilities

  • Smile and bring a positive attitude

  • Oversee and report SVEC’s financial data by maintaining accurate books
  • Accounts payable and receivable; daily financial entries and reconciliations
  • Daily payment and month-end financial reporting

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Customer-service oriented
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and business software
  • Proficient with cloud-based QuickBooks
  • Understanding of billing, collections, and financial reporting
  • Ability to multi-task and analyze information
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of professional accounting experience required

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
