Emergency Surgery

Saginaw Valley Equine Clinic provides emergency surgery 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

After surgery, horses are monitored 24 hours a day. We check vital parameters several times each day. IV fluids, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and anti-pain medications are given for several days. Horses are slowly re-introduced to food and water. We closely monitor appetite and manure production.
