Hanna is a barn tech here at SVEC and we are so lucky to have her. She is one of the hardest working and kindest people that we have the pleasure of knowing!
At SVEC I responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks from cleaning stalls, to recovering horses after surgery.
My favorite part of my job is honestly my coworkers. They are always willing to to answer questions I may have pertaining to school or specific cases within the clinic. I also love being able to observe surgeries and learn how the surgical process works.
I would say one of my greatest skills is that I am mechanically inclined. This skill is useful when fixing various things around the clinic from the automatic waterers to fence boards.
I am currently enrolled in school to become at licensed veterinary technician, so right now most of my free time is spent doing homework or studying for upcoming exams. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends outdoors camping and fishing.
Before coming to SVEC I had very little horse experience. SVEC has given me the opportunities to expand my knowledge in the equine medicine field.
