Ali Kuizenga
Veterinary Assistant Ali Kuizenga was born into the horse world and has been riding since childhood. She began in Western Pleasure before being encouraged to try reining, a discipline she quickly fell in love with. Her passion for horses continues today. Most recently, she bred her Quarter Horse mare and welcomed a filly to her barn this spring. Her four-legged family also includes a rescued Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix who has become her loyal horse show companion.
Ali brings genuine compassion and a strong desire to keep learning to her role at SVEC. After starting as a Barn Technician, she transitioned into a Veterinary Assistant position and is continuing her education toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician.
I work as a Veterinary Assistant. I originally started as a Barn Technician and recently transitioned into this role while continuing my education toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician.
My favorite part is having so many opportunities to learn and grow. I really appreciate being part of a team where I can build my skills while gaining hands-on experience in equine veterinary care.
I think my greatest strength is compassion. I genuinely care about helping both horses and people feel comfortable, cared for, and supported.
I try to bring kindness and compassion to every interaction, whether I am working with a horse or helping an owner. As I put it, “It makes me feel good to make people and horses feel good.”
