Miranda Smith, one of our dedicated veterinary assistants, has loved horses from an early age. Her passion began with her grandmother and continued when she received her first horse at just eight years old. She has been riding ever since and now owns five horses. Miranda is an enthusiastic barrel racer, and she credits her early experience riding English and learning to jump with helping her develop the balance, precision, and horsemanship she brings to the arena today.
I assist the veterinarians during appointments and help make sure horses are handled safely and calmly throughout their visit.
My favorite part is getting to connect with clients and trainers, both at the clinic and through the barrel racing community. I enjoy seeing familiar faces and being part of a team that truly cares about horses.
I have a lot of hands-on horse experience, and I am confident working with horses in a variety of situations. I try to stay calm, steady, and aware of what each horse needs.
My experience helps horses feel more comfortable and helps owners feel confident that their horses are in capable, caring hands.
