What do you like most about working at SVEC?

I think it will be great to be part of a team that knows the ins and outs of equine medicine and surgery from the ground up here at Saginaw Valley Equine Clinic.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Caring for horses and helping client's reach their goals.

What are your greatest skills?

Communication is one of my greatest skills. I have unique experience in that I have owned and shown national championship horses for years.

How do those skills benefit horses and their owners?

I believe that compassionate understanding is key to developing relationships in every aspect of your life. In the veterinary profession, it is crucial that the owner fully knows what is wrong with his or her horse in order to trust and allow you treat the horse. Furthermore, I feel that owning and showing horses allows me to understand how the client is feeling when his or her horse is ill, lame or just not performing to the expected level.
