Carissa Rodarte

Carissa, Reproduction Coordinator and Marketing, is more than a voice at the other end of the phone when clients call the office. She has always had a love for horses and people, which led her to the University of Findlay where she graduated from the Western Equestrian Studies Program. Carissa works at SVEC helping clients and keeping us organized.

What do you do at SVEC?

During the course of the day, I do anything from answering phones to sending out lab samples. I also check in clients once they arrive at the clinic.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I have so many favorite things it’s hard to pick just one! First off, I love meeting new clients and hearing their stories. Second, I couldn’t ask for more wonderful people to have the privilege of working with. Lastly, I’m so blessed that I can work in a field that I thoroughly enjoy.

What are your greatest skills?

I think that being organized and compassionate are some of my greatest skills.

How do these skills benefit horses and their owners?

Some days it can get pretty busy with phones calls at the clinic. Staying organized ensures that every client that calls will receive the attention that they deserve or the follow up that they need.
